Privacy Policy

How CallBetter collects, uses and protects your personal data.

Last updated : June 29, 2026

1. Data controller

CallBetter, a simplified joint-stock company (SASU) being incorporated, with its registered office in Paris (France), publishes and operates the CallBetter platform. The publication director is Maxime Sasportas.

For any question about your personal data, you can write to us at maxime@callbetter.fr.

2. Data we collect

To provide the service, we process the following categories of data:

  • Account data: email address, name, company, role, interface language.
  • Training data: simulated calls (transcripts), scores, levels, XP, badges and progress.
  • Audio recordings of simulated calls, when the feature is used.
  • Google Calendar data, only if you connect your calendar (see the dedicated section).
  • Meeting-prep data you enter or have us research (information about a prospect).
  • Billing data, processed by our payment provider Stripe (we never store your card numbers).
  • Technical data: cookies and local storage strictly necessary for the service (session, preferences).

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Provide and operate the platform (performance of the contract).
  • Improve the service, ensure its security and prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
  • Connect your Google Calendar and sync your meetings (your consent).
  • Send you service emails such as invitations and notifications (performance of the contract).
  • Manage billing and subscriptions (contract and legal obligations).

4. Google Calendar access and use of Google user data

If you choose to connect your calendar, CallBetter requests read-only access to your events (the "calendar.events.readonly" scope) and your Google account email address ("userinfo.email").

  • What we read: upcoming events from your primary calendar (title, date and time, description, attendees).
  • Why: to automatically suggest preparation sheets for your upcoming sales meetings, and to show the connected account.
  • What we store: encrypted access tokens (AES-256) on our server, and event data transformed into meeting-prep drafts.
  • What we never do: modify your calendar, sell your data, use it for advertising, or train generalized AI models with your Google data.

CallBetter's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. No human reads your Google data except with your explicit consent, for security purposes (such as investigating abuse), to comply with the law, or on aggregated and anonymized data as part of an internal operation.

You can revoke this access at any time by disconnecting the calendar from CallBetter, or from your Google account permissions page (myaccount.google.com/permissions).

5. Processors and hosting

Your account data, recordings and calendar-derived data are hosted within the European Union (France, AWS eu-west-3 region) by our infrastructure provider Supabase.

We rely on the following processors, each for a specific purpose:

  • Supabase — database hosting, authentication and file storage (European Union).
  • Google (Gemini Live) — real-time voice processing during simulated calls.
  • Google (Calendar API) — reading your calendar when you connect it.
  • OpenAI — call analysis and scoring, generation of exercises and personas.
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
  • Resend — sending transactional emails.
  • Vercel — hosting of the application and website.
  • Calendly — booking demos from our contact page.

Some of these providers are located outside the European Union (notably in the United States). These transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the Data Privacy Framework.

6. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active, then for the periods required by our legal obligations (notably accounting). Call recordings and transcripts can be deleted at your request. Deleting your account leads to the erasure or anonymization of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights over your data:

  • Right of access, rectification and erasure.
  • Right to restriction of and objection to processing.
  • Right to data portability.
  • Right to withdraw your consent at any time (for example, for the calendar connection).

To exercise these rights, write to us at maxime@callbetter.fr. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (the French data protection authority, www.cnil.fr).

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures: encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest of secrets and access tokens, data isolation per company (Row Level Security) and restricted access to data.

9. Cookies

CallBetter only uses cookies and local storage that are strictly necessary for the service (session, authentication and preferences). We do not use advertising cookies. Our demo booking page embeds the Calendly tool, which may set its own cookies.

10. Minors

CallBetter is a professional service for sales teams and is not intended for individuals under the age of 16.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. In case of a significant change, we will inform you. The last update date is shown at the top of this page.
